You get personalized guidance on study planning, time management, doubts, and exam strategies—based on your unique needs, from a NEET guidance program or JEE mentor.
GGSIPU draws undergraduate merit from three distinct test streams:
Stream |
Who conducts it |
Typical programmes |
National Level Tests (NLT) |
NTA, CoA, NMC, etc. |
JEE-Main (B.Tech), NATA (B.Arch), CLAT-UG (Integrated Law), NEET-UG (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/B.Sc Nursing) |
IPU CET |
University-owned CBT/OMR |
BCA, BBA, BJMC, BHMCT, B.Pharma, Design, B.Ed, Paramedical & more |
CUET (UG) |
NTA |
“Second window” for many CET courses if seats remain, and for a few merit-only programmes |
Take-away: Check which test your dream course feeds on first-several programmes (e.g. B.Tech Bio-Tech, B.Sc-M.Sc Dual Degree, BA (Eco/Eng)) accept both CET and CUET, but the CET list is always exhausted before CUET merit is considered.
Basic academic bar: 50 % aggregate in Class XII (PCM / PCB / any four best depending on programme) with English as a subject; MBBS & allied medical courses follow NEET criteria.
Age caps: most UG programmes ≤ 21 yrs (as on 1 Aug 2025), MBBS/BAMS/BHMS ≤ 25 yrs (by 31 Dec 2025).
Relaxations: 5 % in minimum marks for SC/ST/ PwD/ Defence categories across the board.

MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS follow the national NEET schedule; ACMS & paramedical seats ride on the same timeline but are filled via MCC / AYUSH rounds first.
The brochure gives a four-stage flow chart; here’s the executive summary (for CET/NLT seats) :
Enrol & Pay ₹1,000 counselling fee ► generate login.
Round 1: fill choices → seat allotment → pay ₹96k “part-academic fee” to accept → choose Freeze (lock) or Float (upgrade).
Round 2: only those who paid can re-order choices; fresh allottees again pay ₹96k; old allottees auto-upgrade if Float.
Round 3 / Sliding: last auto-upgrade; pay balance institute fee & report physically.
Spot / Extended Spot: fresh registration, open merit, same fee rules; reservations melt into open if seats remain.
Admission verification at college ► biometric, original docs, Anti-Ragging & Medical fitness forms.
Pro tips: keep scanned PDFs under 200 KB, watch the login dashboard after each round (no emails are sent), and note that non-payment of the part fee within the window ejects your seat automatically.
Region: 85 % Delhi-region (passed Class XII from an institute in NCT) & 15 % Outside Delhi for non-minority colleges.
Vertical: SC 15 %, ST 7.5 %, OBC (Delhi) 27 % in Government/University Schools; private institutes follow their approved matrix.
Horizontals: 5 % Defence, 5 % PwD, 1 seat Single-Girl-Child, up to 3 % Sports quota in USS.
Minority colleges (e.g., Sikh/Christian) reserve 50 % for their community first.
CET / JEE / NEET / NATA scorecard
Class X & XII mark sheets + certificate
Provisional seat-allotment letter + part-fee receipt
Category / Region / Defence / PwD certificate (if applicable, in GGSIPU formats)
Anti-Ragging affidavit (student & parent)
Medical fitness & Blood-group report
Four passport photos
Fill max choices in the first round; there’s zero charge for excess choices, but there is a charge for missing out.
Remember that CUET lists open only after CET/NLT lists exhaust-don’t rely on CUET alone if you can sit IPU CET.
Bank on the Sliding round: students who lock top choices early create upward mobility for Floaters.
Bookmark ipu.admissions.nic.in & the University’s Circulars page; every date change or vacancy list drops there first.
Navigating multiple entrance tests (JEE Main for B.Tech, NATA for Architecture, CLAT-UG for Law, not to mention CET itself) can feel like juggling fire-sticks. If you’d like structured JEE coaching or one-to-one guidance for filling that all-important IPU choice sheet, the mentors at Disha have been doing just that for a time.
Final thought: GGSIPU’s switch to blended - CET + NLT + CUET - admissions means clarity and calendaring will win the day. Pin this guide to your study wall, set reminders for each fee deadline, and move one step at a time. See you in Dwarka!
